Spring in your ears: a review of Wandour’s album “Iridescent Serenade”

Wandour‘s new album “Iridescent Serenade” is exactly what I needed right now.

This isn’t your typical electronic album: no crazy drops or heavy bass here. Instead, it’s like taking a slow walk through the park on the first warm day of spring.

At first I was kinda confused, but then it hit me. This isn’t music for jumping around, it’s music for chilling out. Those dreamy basslines and soft melodies create this perfect relaxed vibe. I ended up putting it on during sunset last week and wow, it just fit perfectly.

Iridescent Serenade” isn’t trying to blow your mind with crazy sounds. It’s just really good chill music. Put it on when you’re hanging outside, watching the sunset, or just relaxing. Wandour nailed that spring feeling, when everything’s waking up but still keeping it cool.

Each track has a different personality and you may prefer one over another, but when the vibe is right, and you want to chill this album just works. Definitely keeping this in my rotation for sunny days. Now I just need some good weather to go with it…

Here are my favorite tracks:

Higher
83/100

This one’s got this cool vocal loop that sticks in your head without being annoying. The bassline follows future house vibes but keeps it chill. Around the second half it gets a bit stronger: not a crazy drop, just enough to keep things interesting. Perfect for when you’re sitting outside with friends.

Shine
81/100

The most experimental track here. The vocals are great and the bass does some really interesting things. I kinda wish the climax hit a little harder, but maybe that’s just me. Still, it’s probably the most memorable song on the album. Very innovative!

Glow
80/100

Super dreamy track with higher-pitched vocals. Makes you feel all warm and happy inside. I really put it in repeat mode towards the end.
