I remember Jessica Audiffred blowing my mind with a killer remix of Illenium’s “From The Ashes”. What a journey since then.
Audiffred has created a visionary style that exists between moments – between the warehouse parties of Mexico City and the global festival stages, between personal struggle and artistic triumph. And she’s now here with a 3-track sampler of her upcoming album “Rave New World“. Name? “Album Sampler“.
If this is just a sampler, I can’t even imagine how the full album will sound like!
Born from the vibrant Mexican bass scene, this small sampler captures an artist breaking free from musical conventions, crafting something that refuses to be contained.
Each track tells a story of rebellion, of musical DNA forged from Nu Metal, Trance, and Techno – transformed into pure, uncompromising bass energy. I left this experience puzzled, excited for the direction that Audiffred is taking, knowing that more of this will come, and I’m happy to explore that. There are promises, there is potential, there is the creativity to push this genre further. Let’s see the three tracks in detail:
Rave On ft. chae
88/100
The absolute pinnacle of the collection. This collaboration is nothing short of magical – a perfect alchemy of vocal prowess and bass-driven intensity. chae’s vocals soar over Audiffred’s production like a siren call, slowly evolving into a splendid bass drop that takes its time in showcasing the quality of the sound design. That’s what I want to hear in Bass House. Simply splendid, with the gorgeous addition of a lovely vocal.
Run Away ft. Softest Chyl
85/100
A collaboration that feels like a musical conversation between three revolutionary spirits (CHYL + Softest Hard). The track is a bass-driven journey that challenges every expectation. It’s gorgeous, intense, a sonic representation of breaking free from limitations. Loved the contrasts between the calm and emotional breakdown, then the drop that takes from Dubstep and Hard Trap, and brings back something new. The pair works together perfectly.
Goes Like
83/100
The track pulses with an infectious energy that speaks to Audiffred’s journey – raw, unfiltered, completely unapologetic. Frenetic kicks and a brutal bassline join forces for an ear-drilling banger that, indeed, goes like ‘nanananananan’. This leaves an immediate charge of stamina from the first seconds till the end of the EP.
