Years of radio-silence later, the dance music veterans Swedish House Mafia made their hyped musical return this year. Lifting the curtains from three already well-received singles from their upcoming album “Paradise Again”, the Nordic icons have shown no signs of slacking, further announcing a global transatlantic tour that will follow in the wake of next year. The material rotating on these shows will be no small feat either, as the group stated.
The trio have been working persistently behind the screens for the past years, as the mentioned compilation of their “debut” album has over forty-five songs that got shortlisted; obviously, not all would make the cut, yet that speaks volumes on what the fans could expect from the volume. It will be “combining Scandinavian melodies with dark production and hard sounds”, as stated by Sebastian Ingrosso on the interview conducted by NME. On whether they will be returning to their festival electro house roots remains uncertain, Axtone label-owner Axwell assured their devoted cohorts with “I don’t know if the scene has changed, and maybe that’s the problem… We’ve changed, though“.
