Chores – Let Go (feat. Elaskia)

August 29, 20212 min read

• Tropical x Future House
• Laidback groove
• Vocals that enhance the above-said mood

It is particularly funny that one of my favorite songs of this summer got crafted in a place where, at the moment, it’s winter.

Chores and Elaskia (from New Zealand and Australia) just gave me a great time with their lovely “Let Go”, a soft Future House tune with the right amounts of Tropical House for this rather frustrating season! Starting with a splendid vocal, the composition immediately picks up a darker tone with the bassline, escalating then into a drop that fuses the goodness of Tropical and groove-focused Future House that is trending lately. Despite the somewhat predictable elements, this mixture works just as intended! After the first listen, I felt refreshed and saved it for further repeats!

Our protagonists from down under are the duo Chores, who debuted with a vibrant EP “Working from Home” a few months ago. They happen to be specialized in “infectious electro pop/dance-house” (as written in their bio), and I can ensure you that they aren’t stretching things. “Let Go” settles for an appreciable niche in the Electro-pop realm that stays true to the radio-friendly vibe. Along with that, the vocalist Elaskia adds a suave voice to the composition that represents the correct way to attenuate the laidback rhythm: all in all, the trio mentioned here have an effective chemistry during synergy.

You have probably never heard of them yet, so this is my suggestion to you. This sort of style is not always my cup of tea and even then this production brought me out of my “comfort zone” and made me write a few praises. Take a sip of the minty “Let Go” and unwind as this month comes to an end!
