Big Room x Watch Dogs

October 29, 20202 min read

The next month has real treats in store for many video-game fanatics, and we are getting an early taste of it with leading Canadian-based corporation Ubisoft announcing its newest launch “Watch Dogs: Legion” on this Thursday. And it is getting a befitting octane-filled soundtrack from none other than leading veteran duo Blasterjaxx. They excitedly announced their latest work together with the gaming industry’s goliath this month, taking a lot of their fan-base by surprise.

Titled the same as the video-game, “Legion” was a supposed follow-up for their studio joint-effort “Big Room Never Dies” with the iconic Hardwell. As expected, the production boasts of similar huge reverb-laden synths, and a driving percussion-kick combination along with it. Further joining the leading act is the renowned American vocalist Jonathan Mendelsohn, whose futuristic vocoded chants add much enthusiasm in the instrumental. Brandishing an acid lead and stronger kick-drum pattern, the drop section presents itself better than the earlier versions. Well suited for festivals, it would be an adrenaline pumping experience to listen to the track while exploring a whole new world inside the game.

Videogames-EDM partnerships are becoming more and more relevant in 2020, but sometimes they seem a bit “forced”… In this case, Blasterjaxx and Ubisoft worked well together: the duo presented some of its classic vibes, adapting them to the sci-fi/dark mood of “Watch Dogs”. It’s a good result, for us!

“Watch Dogs: Legion”, the third action-adventure installment to Watch Dogs series from Ubisoft will be available on 29th of October, on various systems. It is based in a dystopian London in the near future, and the players will traverse as various members of the radical hacktivists, DeadSec.

What do you think about this “Legion” synergy? Let us know in the comments below!
