W&W & AXMO ft. Sonja – Rave Love

October 26, 20203 min read

• Involvement of Rave Culture boss and an upcoming name
• Happy Hardcore/Hardstyle/Big Room Hybrid concept
• Second promising single from AXMO on the imprint

October forecasted as another heated month for the Dance scene, equipped with loads of belters to be unleashed despite absence of ADE. Let’s not forget the first article I wrote about “For Our People” made by genre torch bearers ANG & KEVU. Today, the renowned veterans W&W took it upon themselves to present a huge news, revealing their latest weapon along with an uprising pair from Germany, AXMO, and featuring talented singer-songwriter Sonja.

The Rave Culture label boss has kept an industrious profile for this year, starting with “Wizard of the Beatz” (With Sandro Silva & Zafrir), then followed by equally striking works such as “Do It For You” and the hybrid of a summer anthem “Coming To Getcha”. Having led the Big Room scene to their satisfaction, they diversified into other styles befitting their brand, mainly Hardcore, Progressive and Future House. Furthermore, their side-alias NWYR, known for creating explosive pieces of Trance music, debuted a couple of IDs on the livestream for the recent DJ MAG 2020 virtual performance.

Talking about “Rave Love”, this ID was mislabelled as a W&W & Darren Styles WIP, mainly due to similarities in the melody and the breakdown. A clear evidence of their quality work, AXMO is another duo bound to hit more milestones as they got signed to the label. Their entrée “The Mind” received high praises and support from the icon Armin van Buuren himself during a weekly episode of A State Of Trance podcast. Continuing about the instrumental, the happy hardcore collaboration absorbs your attention entirely, while displaying a experimenting mentality throughout the drop segments. The kick and stabs riff-raff vibrantly, while the synergy has characteristics of both the parties involved, and not one-sided (especially the melody). The hooks are dominated by the anthem-ish reverberated Hardstyle/Electro distorted leads, playing a dreamy cadence. Thanks to the vocal, the composition gets even more hypnotic and entertaining to listen and head-bop with.

Without much doubt, “Rave Love” hits the sweet-spot for a dance-floor energizer, while having the right BPM to drive it. Big Room is evolving with exciting prospects, thanks to these talents!
