• Quality remake of the classic “House Of Justice”
• Smooth blend of both different signature styles!
• Summer-ish and alluring
I particularly love when collaborations are balanced and not just for namesake, with both the parts involved managing to add their own styles and energy, fusing it into one splendid outcome… After having heard the collab between the renowned duos Lucas & Steve and W&W at Tomorrowland, I waited for months to finally achieve the possibility of reviewing and sharing my constructive thoughts.
Born and moulded as a remake of “House Of Justice” by DJ José and G-Spott, a 1999 dance number probably known to readers here, this huge synergy was long-awaited by fans. Since L&S are under Spinnin’, the labels may have experienced some legal inhibitions, causing this unforeseen delay… But in the end, “Do It For You” is out collectively on both the imprints.
As said, I love the 50:50 ratio presented here: L&S evidently worked on the breakdown, which features their signature future house. Summer-ish, with an engaging vocal and a sweet combination between classic piano and an ear-candy synth base. W&W added their recognised “Trance-room” touch in the build-up (even if slightly diluted) and the drop, where their lead smoothly blends with the L&S bassline.
“Do It For You” is a Future House tune that shines for its aggressiveness and catchy-ness, becoming a faithful modernistic rendition of the beautiful classic.
