Hardwell & Mike Williams – I’m Not Sorry

March 14, 20192 min read

This review is in collaboration with Revealed Family! If you like their work, follow them here.

Mike Williams and Hardwell, together in “I’m Not Sorry”.

A collab that I’d have never expected, and the result is pretty good. Let’s begin with the track itself, which is catchy as hell, you will automatically remember the vocals and the melody after only 2 plays, and to be fair, I don’t mind that the track is mainly by Mike Williams. Still remains something we won’t listen for a long time, not really our main genre but we still appreciate how they found a perfect balance between their styles.

As you know, as opposed to Revealed Family who stated that they were not big fans of the genre, I use to like Mike Williams’ stuff, so it will be interesting to have two different points of view in the same review! The structure and the vibe are the typical Mike ones, following his traditional Future Bounce scheme, while the overall mix sound is more like the typical Hardwell one.

Featuring a cheerful vocal and some airy synths, the break is really relaxing and it transmits really good vibes, making it really enjoyable for chilling. Then, the drop doesn’t change the mood that much. As we have previously seen, this kind of tracks sometimes explode into powerful and energetic drops, but that’s not the case of I’m Not Sorry. With a happy melody and a pretty static bass that could be way more bouncy, we have a peaceful drop which results enjoyable for casual listenings but harmless for clubs and festivals.

We have another decent track from Hardwell and Mike which, even not being nothing too special, does its job pretty well and can entertain you a bit while chilling at home.
