This evening I want to present you something special, “Ganja Man”.
Factory DJs, an interesting duo that I’m following for a while, dropped a curious electro\big room banger, which received a fabulous edit by Mountblaq.
The cover immediately caught my attention. I would like to talk about it since it’s really beautiful… It’s not the usual joint or a stoned person, but two hands on a green background. I don’t know why but I liked the colors.
Anyway, “Ganja Man” immediately surprise the listener with a strong drop. The kick is mainly big room, but the lead, in pure Factory Djs style, is a strong electro house one. I loved it because of its extraordinary strength, and the wise combination of genres. I would guess 60% by Two Factory Djs and 40% by Mountblaq.
The break is even more particular and creative than the drop. It surprised me, I was expecting the classic reggaeish melody and a funny vocal, and I was almost right.
The vocal is the usual philosophical message that we can summarize in “Give me weed”, but I liked the singer’s voice, very aggressive and dark… That’s curious, usually, reggaeish vocals are calm and happy, but here I noticed aggressive desire of smoking marijuana.
Anyway, the producers made a good job with the base, adding an elegant trumpet and some trap influences… They created something different from usual, thanks God.
In the end, “Ganja Man” is a nice track. It’s very powerful, following Quartzo style, but it manages to entertain with a frenetic rhtym and a crazy kick. I will defenitely recommend it!
