With the sumptuous days of summer incoming, the Italian duo VINAI collaborated with the renowned American artist Redfoo to craft a delightful and laid-back summer inspired production titled “Everything I Need”.
This collaboration is a surprising one for many listeners, as Redfoo has for the first time debuted on Spinnin’. However, the trio has decided to create a relishing moombahton/chill trap release. Featuring an attention-grabbing melody and an engaging rap/vocal from Redfoo, this song ensures that the listener gets impressed. For any summer track, the components and ingredients need to be ear-hooking and this track manages that quite well.
The breakdown features a calm moombahton groove containing a pluck synth, while the rap dominates over the backdrop. This feels slightly generic, however, keeps the vibe rolling.
The drop, which follows after a brief transition, presents another peppy melody backed with the same moombah rhythm.
Even though the track manages to keep the listener amused, the production compensates on energy. Fortunately, the pros weigh over the cons here, and therefore this production scores decent. This work, however, slightly strays away from the prior expectations we had from this collaboration.
Summarising, it would be fair to say “Everything I Need” matches up to other contemporary leading mainstream EDM-pop releases. Not a masterpiece, but not disappointing either!
