74/100

The French producer Maeva Carter has proficiently debuted on the eminent label Maxximize Recordings, with her dominant and impressive production “Escape”. This track was premiered by Blasterjaxx in their gig for the renowned Slam FM… And it’s quite particular!

Despite the romantic cover, fans didn’t receive a soft and emotional song. Au contraire, we have a brutal and aggressive big room banger! Maeva showed the right personality here!

The striking attribute of this particular track is its quirky breakdown, followed by a distinctive and spunky drop. Together, “Escape” sums up as a festival-ready production.

Showcasing a modish melody, the breakdown presents high-pitched synth. Simultaneously, another male tribal-like vocal snippet iterates. This unusual yet kinetic combination certainly keeps the hype on board. Without any further delay, the breakdown escalates to the robust drop.

Sweeping in with a bouncy and vivacious melody, the impacting drop plays over a slightly pitched vocal one-shot lead synth paired with an offbeat rumbling bass to embed the necessary dynamism. This results in a sophisticated but nonetheless, groovy drop! It has some old school big room vibes, which will surely be noticed by Blasterjaxx’s veteran fans… But the vocal imprint in the lead adds an unexpected freshness!

Maeva Carter showed the right amount of personality and aggressiveness with this powerful release. A wild and roaring production, perfect for the Dutch label style!

Summing up, “Escape” is an enjoyable and energetic track, which possesses the essential ingredients of any imposing Maxximize production.
