This track left us speechless.
It’s a word that we rarely use in reviews, but that’s exactly the case when someone’s creation is so genial that it’s difficult to write a review about it. The protagonist of the story is SBU, a producer from Chicago. Together with the American singer Sally Em, SBU created “Take Me High”, a really particular track.

We would like to consider it as “future bass”, but only because of some elements in the drop. The feeling we experienced, here, is unique. It’s like listening to a bear, masked as an innocent rabbit. “Take Me High” begins in a calm way, as most of the future bass songs do. Emotional vocal, calm lead, sweet melody.

Sally Em participates in this “trick” by singing in a calm manner and increasing the aggressiveness during the buildup. The transition between “chilly future bass break” and “brutal drop” is harsh, but it’s a genial move.
Risky, extremely risky, but genial.

The drop itself sounds in a particular way: there are hardcore dubstep influences in the growling bass and the vocal style, but for us, it’s a future bass drop. Hard trap vibes everywhere, but SBU managed to keep that part chillier than expected. Energetic, explosive, but never too aggressive.

“Take Me High” is a masterpiece for us. SBU and Sally Em perfectly managed to fuse dubstep and future bass vibes in a unique combination. And we hope this track will receive its much-deserved success!
