The collaboration with David Guetta “So Far Away” is not the only release by Martin Garrix this week! In fact, the Dutch world star presented his new track “Glad You Came”, under the alias “Area 21”. The duo (Martin and Maejor Ali) is famous for its sci-fi personality and experimental style. As every release by them, “Glad You Came” is unpredictable!

“Glad You Came” presents itself as an energetic future bass track with a heavy hip-hop vocal influence. This round, Area 21 hit the target again: making another interesting future bass tune.

The splendid vocoded vocal (which has considerably good lyrics) gives a catchy touch to “Glad You Came”, but the real dominance here is from the electric lead.

Even if the structure is simpler than usual (lead, normal melody), it makes its job in a supreme way. That’s how you can understand that an artist is talented: when he makes something special from simple things.

Like two chefs with just some vegetables and a vocoded vocal, Area 21 created a wonderful gold plate. “Glad You Came” maintains its hypnotic rhythm during the whole duration, with a perfect lead solidness and a majestic kick.

Slightly more hip-hop than EDM, but still really interesting. Area 21, with their geniality, showed that from simple elements, creating art is easy, if you have talent!
